Are you Chionophobic?
Are you chionophobic? Someone who has an abnormal fear or dislike
towards snow? You should be pretty gleeful this year as it has been
a mild winter (so far) in US. Last year by this time the nature
has dumped more than 36 inches of snow in North East. But, luckily
this year, the winter has been kind and the temperature is hovering
around 50 degree Farenheit in January. Let us hope the winter remains
mild till April.
No one turns chionophobic in a day. In
fact, for many the first snowfall is not an event, it is a magical
event. However, the after effects of snow such as shoveling, digging,
salting, sanding and snow driving over a period of time makes them
to rethink their feeling towards snow. As Carl Reiner says, "I
feel snow is an unnecessary freezing of water." Probably, we
can support that thought as it would have drained away if it has
not frozen.
In this issue, we have decided to compensate
the lack of snow with some wintery picks. Along with those we have
hand picked additional contents and riddles. Read, enjoy, share
and enjoy your new year!
