What is your relationship status?
Dear
reader,
theIndUS Network crosses another milestone
this month - our 3rd anniversary! It looks as though we started
publishing just 3 months back. Thank you for your awesome support
and love towards this eMagazine. We love you too! Please send your
feedback on every edition and don't forget to recommend the eMagazine
to your network. By the way, have you already enrolled in the 2013
Science Challenge. If not, contact sc2013@theindusnetwork.com for
details.
So, what is your relationship status?
Single? Married? It does not matter what your relationship status
is, it is not official (or taken to be true) until you post it on
your social network site. The status is not a simple "single"
or "married" any more. It can be anywhere between
"in a relationship","complicated (not
sure what it is)", "It's over but only one knows
it", "Just broke up", "Back
together but hanging by a thread", "On and Off",
"Married finally"! Days are gone when people
did not tell you how they feel about you but they just showed you.
Today you have to check their social networking account to see where
you stand in their life. People express their love and call off
their love through social networking account status! There is no
need for facetime or guesswork as was needed in pre-social networking
era.
Also,
people are very much interested in sharing their private life through
their social networking account. In a survey conducted by "The
Online Privacy Blog" 90% of people reported that they share
their love lives on Facebook, Twitter, Blogs or Dating sites. Of
people who post about their love lives, 81% post about their relationship
status, 62% post who they’re in a relationship with, and 61% post
pictures with that person. There are 18% respondents who over-share
with very private information or share every miniscule milestone
in their romantic life. So, who is going to teach them that no one
is holding their busy life to follow their updates?
Relationship is an art. Unfortunately
there are no operations manual to follow. As Jerry Seinfield quoted
"When you start out with someone, you're essentially driving
a strange car for the first time and none of the controls are labeled.
So the wipers can come on at strange times, sometimes you stall.
On top of that we've all met people with bad steering, no brakes,
needs a muffler, headlights a little dim, too much in the trunk,
not enough under the hood, prone to backfiring, won't turn over,
and just plain out of gas. Which is why when people get ready to
get married they so often seem to choose basic transportation. It's
simple, it's reliable, and it gets you there. That's important on
a long trip." Bottomline, tread cautiously in a relationship
and spend time to nourish and protect it.
