the symbol of love and beauty, a the "most popular
flower" among flowers. It could be because of its varied
color, size and fragrance. Historically, the oldest Rose
fossils have been found in Colorado, dating back to more
than 35 million years ago. The ancient Greeks and Romans
identified the rose with their goddesses of love - Aphrodite
and Venus. In Rome, a wild rose is used to denote secrecy
and confidentiality. For example, a wild rose outside a
room means a secret or confidential discussion is happening
in the room. In christianity the five petals of roses are
considered to represent the five wounds of Christ. Roses
are the inspiration behind Rose window architecture too.
In modern world rose is used to communicate different emotions
such as love, respect, admiration, passion, sympathy, friendship,
enchantment, mystery and end of something based on the color.
